Winetourism in Lanzarote
The wine of Lanzarote, the “canary wine” of which Shakespeare spoke in one of his works, receives every year national and international awards for its high quality. However, the entire production process is not easy on an island where rains are scarce. The island’s first winery was built at the end of the 18th century, just 50 years after the tragic eruptions of Timanfaya.
I give you the chance to do
– a wine tour visiting two of the island’s wineries, and stroll among the vineyards of the main wine-growing area of Lanzarote: La Geria. In this way, you will learn the technique of growing the vine and you will be able to taste some of the local wines while discovering the great work that is behind it. Unite gastronomy and culture in this special route.
– hike route through La Geria that gives you the opportunity to learn about the volcanic eruptions while enjoying wonderful views to the coast of the island from the top of a volcano or unique volcanic landscapes.
